Dr. Hans-Christian Stockfisch has founded a start-up after more than 10 years of experience in the German Armed Forces. He was also able to secure a 3 million euro investment for his company Flexvelop. In an interview, he tells Startupmag why he still advises people to think very carefully about founding a company.
Hans, after more than 10 years in the German Armed Forces, you founded a start-up. What motivated you to take this big step?
In my personal environment, I have met more and more successful entrepreneurs who have done their own thing with passion. That inspired me. At the same time, these entrepreneurs didn't give me the impression that they were particularly talented, so I thought to myself, "well, if they can do it, then I can do it too!". I wasn't familiar with the whole startup bubble with pitch decks, venture capital, etc. back then. I was interested in classic entrepreneurship.
